Hola
I'm Jennika creator of Bocagrandiart and I would like to tell you how I started this art project.
Bocagrandiart began nine years ago on the beautiful Caribbean island of Aruba, where I worked as a local artist specializing in driftwood art. As a Venezuelan expat, each of my pieces had a personal connection, reflecting the colors and essence of my country.

My artistic journey was recognized on the island, and I became part of the Departamento di Cultura Aruba (DCA) as a local artist. This recognition strengthened my presence in Aruba’s cultural scene, allowing me to share my creative vision with a wider audience.
Later, I continued my artistic evolution outside of Aruba, exploring new forms of expression, including crypto art and the fusion of technology with traditional art.
More about Jennika

From a young age, I was always drawn to the world of art, especially drawing. My mother was a professional baker, and I became fascinated by the vibrant colors she used in her creations. At the age of 11, I started drawing handmade comics about cakes, gradually refining my technique over the years. This early passion led me to take courses in pointillism, wood embossing, and stained glass. After leaving my home country over a decade ago.I dedicated myself to advancing my crafts and artistic projects, establishing Bocagrandiart as a way to connect with the sea and nature through art. In 2018, I enrolled in online artistic drawing classes, but I longed for deeper artistic training. In August 2020, I began private studies in Theory and Techniques of Art under the personal tutelage of Ernesto De La Peña Folch, a renowned Mexican artist and sculptor. This mentorship fueled my artistic growth, leading me to explore and refine my style using acrylics, collage, inks, and charcoal. The year 2020 marked a significant turning point in my career. The global pandemic pushed me to transition from traditional media to digital art, opening up a new creative discipline. Through digital sketches and experimentation, I unexpectedly developed a narrative that intertwines Caribbean themes with environmental conservation, serving as a call to human consciousness. This evolution resulted in a collection of digital illustrations and animated pieces, many of which are now available as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) on various blockchain marketplaces. In June 2021, I expanded my artistic practice by studying oil painting, integrating this medium into my work to bring depth, richness, and new artistic dimensions. Most recently, I participated in the Nox-Gallery collective exhibition at the Museum of the Future in Dubai-Tokyo showcasing my work: 幽玄 - Yūgen (Mysterious Beauty) digital format. Through the use of a crypto asset in the form of digital art, I have also been part of multiple exhibitions across countries such as Spain, USA NYC, Beeple Studios, France, Mexico, Dubai, Tokyo,Belgium, and more. Additionally, I am co-founder of TOCA (Tarot of Cyber Alchemy), a cultural project developed alongside two other artists. TOCA merges blockchain technology with artistic expression, reinterpreting the Tarot through the lens of Web3, memecoins, and cyber-alchemy. This initiative has allowed me to explore the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling in a unique and meaningful way. Art, to me, is an ongoing journey of learning and discovery. I continuously strive to bring vibrancy, innovation, and meaning to my creations, always exploring new ways to express my vision.
